Clams, Clams, Clams – Yarmouth Clam Festival is Coming!

If you’re a fan of seafood and love to help support local causes, then do we have the perfect event for you.

Clam FestivalThe 51st annual Yarmouth Clam Festival will take place Friday, July 15 to Sunday, July 17, and will feature numerous events the whole family will be able to enjoy. The festival is held every year to not only promote the community, but also to help raise funds for nonprofit organizations in the area. Admission to the event is free, so spread the word and get everyone you know to come out, have fun and support the greater community of nonprofits, which are graciously volunteering workers to help run the festival.

Activities actually kick off a little early at the Carnival on the Midway, which opens up for people to visit and enjoy Wednesday, July 13. The Midway will feature rides, classic carnival games and food for kids and adults of all ages to enjoy. Anyone attending the carnival looking for a way to ride the rides all night will want to attend either Wednesday or Thursday, as the carnival will be offering “All-You-Can-Ride” wristbands for $20.

On Friday, the official kick-off parade is planned. Residents and tourists from all across the region will flood the sidewalks just get a view of the 130 floats, marching bands, antique cars and unique entertainers that will be participating in this grand tradition.

The next day will be a day no one will want to miss. Saturday will offer not only fireworks, but live music on three different stages, food from the volunteers, arts and crafts and road races – and that’s only the beginning. With all of this going on, this year’s Yarmouth Clam Festival is one you’re not going to want to miss!
